This past weekend, Ford invited Caught Ya Lookin’ to take part in the 2012 Ford Focus Target Hunt at Westfield Mall right here in Toledo, Ohio.

This event offers participants an experience surely unlike any other test drive they’ve ever taken part in. An autocross style course was setup with strategically placed electronic targets which drivers had to drive over in order to gain points. To top it off, in-car cameras, G-force tracking and lap time recording added to the fun and competitiveness of the experience.

Drivers could get behind the wheel of various models of the Ford Focus, in both sedan and 5-door form. Each one provided for a different experience and perspective while navigating through the course.

We had a blast throwing the Focus through this course and hope Ford continues to do such events in the future! CYL will be the first ones in line, even if the in-car cameras captured one or two terrified looks on our face!

This Sunday, CYL will be attending the GM Powertrain Park N Shine Car Show, the largest car show in the Toledo area. Well be arriving in the AM with more than 1,000 other participants. With the car show, local dealership displays, a swap meet and food/drink vendors; there is something for nearly everyone. We hope to see you there!

Along with the excitement of New Year’s resolutions, college bowl games and NFL playoffs, this time of year also provides a highly anticipated view into the future of the automotive industry. The North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) is a globally recognized event that takes places every January in Detroit, Michigan at COBO Hall. Each year, the players (both big and small) in the auto industry bring their latest and greatest designs and technology to display for the world to see. This is a must-see event for auto enthusiasts and it provides a great way to spend the weekend in the Motor City. If you’re in the market for a new vehicle, this is one of the largest (and most exciting) vehicle lots that you could ever stroll upon!

Tonight will be the last CYL Cottage Inn Car Meet of the year. We’d like to welcome out all our regulars and any new automotive enthusiasts that would like to come celebrate a great season.
